Welcome to Anime Theme's Active Desktop Gallery! Here you'll be able to find some Active Desktop HTML programs to decorate your desktop! If you don't know what Active Desktop is, click here for more info.

Before you proceed, make sure that you have Internet Explorer (Windows XP and older only) installed.

Random Animated Desktop II

Below is an Active Desktop program which can randomize your desktop with varying wallpapers, sounds and animations!

Random Animated Desktop II (version 1.40)	load a random wallpaper and sound at startup display wallpaper with animations can set a timer to change wallpaper at regular time interval *can play a random movie as startup animation* support ALL image formats supported by the browser, including BMP, GIF and JPEG support ALL multimedia formats supported by Windows Media Player, *including MP3, AVI and MPEG* fully customizable	*ALL Desktop Themes, wallpapers and media files (movies and others) found in Anime Theme are directly supported!* If you have been using "Random Animated Desktop" (not II), you are recommended to install this new version in a different folder. This program works BEST in True Color mode. However if you have a slow computer you may want to use this program in 16-bit High Color mode for a better balance of speed and performance.

Installation Instructions

Unzip the file to a directory of your choice.
Right-click on your desktop and choose "Properties".
Go to the "Background" tab and browse for "random_desktop.html".
If you are prompted to enable Active Desktop, choose "Yes".

If you use any media files in this program, you should disable the system startup sound to avoid playing two sounds simultaneously.

Go to "Control Panel".
Click on "Sounds" and highlight the "Start Windows" sound event.
Choose "None" for the sound name and click "Apply".
